Arash Radpour was born in Teheran, Iran, in 1976. At the age of four he fled with his parents to Rome, Italy, to escape the oppression of the Iranian revolution of 1979. In 1994 he graduated in Photography from the Rossellini State Institute. Since the early 2000’s he worked in the advertising field, signing international photographic campaigns for many important brands. In 2003 he won the Mediastar Award for the best advertising photography. Since 2005 he has been engaged in various research including video art.

His work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale, at the Victoria Memorial Hall in Kolkata, the Modern Art Museum in New Delhi, the MAMBA in Buenos Aires, the Stupinigi Hunting Lodge in Turin, the Andersen Museum, the Napoleonic Museum, as well as the MAXXI and the MACRO in Rome. In 2011 he was selected as one of the top 100 photographers in the world and is included in the coffee table book published by Rizzoli International called, “NEW YORK, a Photographer’s City” edited by Marla Hamburg Kennedy. Since 2014 he lives and works in Naples.
